NLIS starts from crèche 1 and is up to grade 9. For a learner to be eligible for admission into NLIS, he/she must be 6 months and above or already actively in school to qualify. NLIS accepts learners from all backgrounds and countries worldwide. We do not discriminate: as long as you are financially capable, our doors are open to you.
All eligible learners must purchase an admission form. If the learner is a beginner, we will require documents such as:
However, if the learner is a continuing student from another school, we will require:
NLIS has set a high standard and we require any new learner to either be up to our standard, close to our standard or willing to put in the effort to get there. Before you are admitted you will have to write an assessment exam and get a pass mark of 75% to gain admission. Based on a learner’s previous school records, management can decide if he/she meets our academic standard.
NOTE: Learners from Basic 2 to Basic 8 will only be promoted into the next class if they make the 75% pass mark.
Admissions are done at the beginning of every academic year. But in special cases where parents are transferred impromptu, as long as we have space we make exceptions during the second term. NLIS has no special facilities for special needs learners, but even with that we have a few autistic and special needs learners who are nonviolent and their parents have had the opportunity to look around the school prior to accepting to bring them. At NLIS we pride ourselves on treating all learners with care and protecting them all as their parents entrust them into our care.
